These colorful earrings are cut from abalone shell. They are enhanced by 2 silver "bubbles" each and then oxidized. These run on the heavier side if you are sensitive to that.
About the shell:
Abalone shells are rounded or oval, flat, and ear-shaped, with a large dome at one end. They are made of calcium carbonate and grow as the abalone grows, with the innermost layer being nacre, or mother-of-pearl.
